SHOW PRODUCTION & BACKSTAGE SUPPORT FAQS
What show production and backstage services can you provide?
Five Twenty Five can provide show direction and choreography, collection management, show callers, backstage managers and dressers for fashion shows, launches, presentations and other live productions.
Can you provide a complete backstage team for a fashion show?
Yes. Depending on the requirements of the production, we can provide individual specialists or coordinate a wider team covering show calling, backstage management, collection management, choreography and dressing support.
What is the difference between show direction and show calling?
Show direction focuses on the creative and physical flow of the show — including pacing, model movement, entrances, exits and presentation. Show calling focuses on the live execution of the running order, ensuring cues, timings and transitions happen as planned.
What does collection management involve?
Collection management covers the organization and coordination of garments, looks and accessories before and during the production. This can include fittings, look allocation, garment preparation, tracking and ensuring each look is ready at the correct time.
What does a backstage manager do?
A backstage manager coordinates activity behind the scenes, including model call times, line-ups, quick changes, communication and the movement of people and garments throughout the show.
Can you provide dressers for quick changes?
Yes. Dressers can be booked to assist models or performers with garment changes, preparation and backstage organization. The number required will depend on the number of looks, performers and the speed and complexity of the changes.
Do you provide rehearsals as part of show production support?
Rehearsals can be incorporated where required. The amount of rehearsal time will depend on the complexity of the show, number of models or performers, venue and production schedule.
Can these services be booked individually?
Yes. Clients can book individual roles, such as a show caller or backstage manager, or combine several services depending on the needs of the production.
